Chaplain's files, 1939 - [1970s].

In 1938, the Board of Control began providing full-time Catholic and Protestant chaplains for the school. They continued full-time into the 1970s, when they became part-time. Until the early 1960s, church attendance was mandatory for the residents. These files include Protestant Chaplain Ellig E. Ramsey's case files (1946-1953), baptism and marriage certificates (1940-1965), correspondence (1964), a record of residents who had left the school (1970s), and a register of baptisms, confirmations, communions, and services (1939-1963).
